Abbi Pulling stole the limelight on Day 1 of testing at Paul Ricard as the drivers geared up for the penultimate round of the F1 Academy season, just over a week away.
The talented Rodin Carlin driver showcased her speed around the French circuit, topping two sessions during the day. Her impressive performance continued the momentum from Pre-Season testing at Circuit Paul Ricard, where she dominated four sessions across two days.
Amid scorching heat in the South of France, Léna Bühler led the first session of the day with a time of 1:27.384, ahead of series leader Marta García and Spaniard Nerea Martí. However, the fastest time of the day was later set in the second session when Pulling impressively broke the 1:26 barrier, clocking an impressive 1:26.925.
In the first session of the afternoon, it was a British one-two, with Pulling leading ahead of teammate Jessica Edgar. Bühler ended the day on a high note, retaining her position at the top of the standings in the final session.
After her exceptional performance, Pulling expressed her delight, stating, “Coming back to this track and showcasing our team’s speed has proven the progress we’ve made in the setup throughout the season. It’s been a fantastic day, and we focused on a race run in the final session to ensure we’re fully prepared for the upcoming race weekend in just a week’s time.”
Pulling’s impressive lead ahead of her teammate in the fastest session highlights the strength and unity of the Rodin Carlin team, setting high hopes for their performance in the upcoming races.
