As the 2010s comes to and end and the new decade takes over, we see a new a new flagship V12 From Lamborghini, ‘The Revuelto’. Named after a bull like all the other greats that came before such as Aventador, Murcielago, Diablo. Revuelto came into existence after years of research and development, and frankly it shows.
Inspired by the F22 fighter jet and a tasteful scooping of previous designs that the Italian manufacturer has created over the years. The looks of the new Revuelto are timeless and futuristic at the same time. The body lines remind us that of the Aventador, the front DRLs are reminiscing of the Sian limited production car. The rear features Twin centre mounted exhaust that gives the mic to the screaming V12 in the back, the rear part of the car has a lot going for it and contributing the most to that is the exposed Engine cover.
Speaking of the engine is the back, as everyone is scrambling towards Electric and Hybrid Drivetrains as they shy away from the internal combustion engines, Lamborghini has stuck to its roots. If the Roots are – V12 plus 3 electric motors but it makes up for it with a skull-cracking 1015 horsepower. Two of the three motors are in the front powering the front two wheels independently making Revuelto a 4-wheel drive car. Putting power to the wheels is an all new 8 speed double-clutch gearbox mounted transversally behind the engine.
With over 12 driving modes to choose from, the four constant we see form Lamborghini are Strada- where you have combined horsepower of 886, sports mode- with 907 horsepower and a new mode called the Chitta- this a new mode introduced and will be a constant feature in the upcoming cars from Lamborghini, this an all-electric mode for city driving and can be recharged by the engine in just six and half minutes. Bringing us home to the classic and the iconic mode of them all, The Corsa- this is the drinking 8 redbulls in 8 minutes and going to track and shredding your tyres because you have a raging bull of your own kind of mode, where you have 1015 horsepower at your disposal. This is the most power you can extract from a Lamborghini till date
Holding this all in a new from the ground up Monocoque made with carbon fibre and composite material forged to give it a 25% stiffer and lighter body when compared to the Aventador. Taking inspiration from the aeronautics industry, this helps in handling 1015 HRPS sitting behind you as you carve corners with a hot knife on a butter smooth precision.
This new offering from Lamborghini is a testament to the Italian heritage that they have kept alive for over 60 years. With a perfect marriage of new and old, this car is an amazing successor to the Aventador that ruled the Italian streets for a decade and keeps the tradition alive for high performance big engines and big horsepower numbers.
