Ducati Pauses GP24 Development as MotoGP Title Race Heats Up

Ducati has halted development on its GP24 MotoGP bike as the championship battle between Martin and Bagnaia intensifies. With only four races left and just a 10-point gap, Ducati has decided that both riders will remain on the same equipment for the rest of the season. This ensures a fair competition, with no further improvements or modifications to the bikes.

Bagnaia secured his eighth win at Motegi, cutting Martin’s lead to 10 points, making the title race more competitive than ever. Ducati’s last major update was a new fairing introduced at Silverstone.

Although Ducati tested new elements, including a chassis at Misano, these updates will not be used in 2024 but will be reserved for the 2025 GP25 model. Bagnaia expressed disappointment, believing the new chassis could have helped in the championship fight. However, Ducati remains firm on its commitment to fairness, ensuring both riders use the same equipment for the remainder of the season.

The title race will now be decided by pure speed and tactical skill as Martin and Bagnaia go head-to-head for the championship.
