FIA Issues Statement on Red Bull F1 Team’s Horner Investigation

So, the FIA just made a move. They’re finally acknowledging what’s been swirling in the Formula 1 world – the investigation into Christian Horner, the big boss at Red Bull Racing. It’s been making headlines for a couple of weeks now, ever since whispers about some internal probe started making the rounds.

Here’s the scoop: Seems like there’s been some talk about misconduct allegations against Horner from a female employee. Red Bull’s parent company, Red Bull GMbH, took it seriously enough to launch their own investigation. But hey, Horner’s been quick to shut down any whispers of wrongdoing on his part.

The investigation’s been heating up, especially after an interview with Horner conducted by an independent barrister back on February 9. Despite all the buzz, Horner still showed up at the RB20 launch in Milton Keynes on February 15, trying to keep business as usual.

But you know how it goes – once the media starts poking around, everyone starts talking. And that’s exactly what happened. The speculation got so intense that even the big shots had to step in and say something.

The FIA finally broke their silence with a statement to Motorsport.com. They’re basically saying, “Hey, until Red Bull wraps up their investigation and spills the beans, we’re staying mum.” But they made sure to emphasize their commitment to integrity and fairness in the sport, citing some fancy article from the International Sporting Code.

And Formula 1? Well, they chimed in too. They’re hoping for a quick resolution to the whole thing, but they’re not saying much else for now.

Even Ford, Red Bull’s partner in creating that new engine for 2026, had something to say. Mark Rushbrook, the bigwig at Ford Performance Motorsport, kept it real. He said they’re keeping an eye on the situation because, you know, they’ve got their reputation to think about too.

So, that’s where things stand. Everyone’s watching, waiting to see how it all pans out. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
